Veterinary Medicine Programs and the Art and Science of BBQ

In this episode, you will learn about a new program for veterinary students, called VERO. It stands for “Veterinary Education, Research & Outreach.”
VERO is a partnership between the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences and West Texas A&M University. The partnership our veterinary students to work closely with cattle producers in the Texas Panhandle.
Also on the show, you will visit Southside Market and Barbeque in Elgin. You will meet owner Bryan Bracewell and hear about how Texas A&M has helped his business and others like it.
Also, Dr. Jeff Savell, a Distinguished Professor in Meat Science at Texas A&M, will talk with Chancellor Sharp about “Camp Brisket” and “Barbecue Summer Camp” – two popular programs that he puts on, here at Texas A&M.
