In this episode of ‘Around Texas with Chancellor John Sharp,’ we tell the stories of two men who left lasting marks at Texas A&M University.

Dr. Al Wagner

Retired professor, Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences

Food technologist, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service

Director, Food, Technology and Processing Laboratory

Dr. Wagner’s career as a food technology specialist included contributions to NASA’s Spacelab. But as he looks back on his career, the work he is most proud of is the time he spent as the volunteer-coach for the Texas A&M Rodeo Team.

Dr. Donny Hamilton

Professor, Department of Anthropology

Director, Conservation Research Laboratory

Director, Center for Maritime Archaeology and Conservation

From restoring cannons from the Alamo to exploring sunken cities, Dr. Donny Hamilton has done it all. Dr. Hamilton recently retired as the director of the Conservation Research Laboratory at Texas A&M University.
