Raising Ranchers and Protecting the Panhandle

"Raising Ranchers": There’s a shortage of farmers in America, and in Texas, the average farmer is 60 years old. Thousands have experienced setbacks and physical disabilities that could cut short their career. But thanks to work at Texas A&M AgriLife, many are getting the equipment and technological modifications needed to help them continue, and sometimes start, their life as a rancher.

"Protecting the Panhandle": Over a million acres of land burned in the Panhandle this year, making it the largest wildfire in Texas history. But the people of the panhandle are resilient, and with the help of everyone from Texas A&M Forest Service and TDEM, to the Vet School, AgriLife Extension, and Texas Task Force 1, their recovery has become a story of perseverance, grit, and renewal.
