Best in Show & Learning by Serving

“Best in Show” The Houston Livestock and Rodeo is the largest indoor rodeo in the nation. To keep those competitions safe and honest, a little-known state agency, along with Texas A&M University veterinarians, work tirelessly behind the scenes.

“Learning by Serving” The Texas Prison System raises livestock for feeding prisoners and keeps horses and dogs for security. At no cost to taxpayers, Texas A&M students stand in as veterinarians for those animals and educate inmates on their daily care.
